About this Short Film
I am Faith, by Marist College (New Zealand, 2021), is a short film that explores themes of goals, individuality and physical disability within school and sport. Through its focus on teenage experience and wheelchair use, the film invites viewers to consider the everyday ambitions and challenges young people face. It speaks to the resilience and determination that shape a young life, without needing sweeping statements. Presented in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival, I am Faith sits alongside other works that highlight the abilities, experiences and achievements of people with disability. A warm, thoughtful inclusion in this year’s programme.
