Film Transcript
Sixty-four percent of Australians participate in a regular sport or activity. It all comes down to one thing: belonging. Twenty-three percent of Australians with disabilities participate in regular sport. That's not good. Children and parents with disabilities just end up giving up. It's about encouraging kids with disabilities and their parents and letting them know that they're welcome.
Being a disabled kid playing a mainstream sport makes me happy. There is no reason that they shouldn't. Why not? Why can't a kid with a disability play mainstream sport? Sport has the same positive effect on everyone; it gives belief and confidence in themselves. It's about the passion to play sport. The equipment or the structure required is not insurmountable. I can see this — just do it. Just imagine your life.
