About this Short Film
2 Years of Agony (Redeem and Redemption) by Kate Johnson and Ben Paior-Smith (Australia, 2025) This short film offers a vivid look at themes around cognitive processing disability, Down Syndrome and intellectual disability, presented with energy and care. Working with a group of young adults, the film highlights how music, especially rap, can be a powerful mode of expression and connection. It does not preach.
