Film Transcript

There is a nest each family shares, full of normal things like tables, chairs, some have basements, other stairs, tall or crammed with hopes and cares. These nests sit side by side on branches, so we hear it when there's music classes, feel it when a neighbour dances, and when one calls another answers. These branches make up one big tree, with room enough for you and me, and him and her and then we, all shaded by the same canopy. And sometimes we must stay indoors, the days are cold, the rain it pours, we cuddle up and snore our snores, I in my nest, you in yours. But then there comes the lovely day, when we can go back out to play. We see our friends, and wave and say, and now I let my thoughts run free, to every nest that neighbours me, to every branch and every tree, and every inch of woods I see. So before I leave, I flutter down, I have a look, search all around, in every nook until it's found, the bestest thing, the nestest thing, find toy or book or special ring, and then we take that treasured thing, and place it under feathered rings, it makes us warm, it makes us sing. And we fly, between the trees we race, me and you and us we'll chase, zooming at a crazy pace, until we reach an open space, and we leave them, all the things we brought, our toys, our jewels, our bats for sport, and we build a castle, build a fort, the bestest thing, the nestest thing, until at last the night arrives. We get ready to say goodbye, and stand around this nest so nice, and look at it with happy eyes, it is a place for going to, a piece of peace, a piece we grew, a piece of old, a piece of new, a piece of me, a piece of you.
