Spectacular (Cecil Hills High School, Australia, 2023) uses dance and group performance to shine a light on creativity and connection in a school setting. So, Christina, tell me about your school spectacular journey so far. I think school spec is very fun and huge crowd and performing. I've been school spec, I was here year 4, year 7, year 8, year 9, and year 12. And it's where I have great time. How does it make you feel being there? Very happy, excited, and proud. Nice. Yeah. Why do you enjoy dancing? Because it's beautiful and everyone's cheering. And it's very cool. How does it make you feel seeing everybody cheering? Like I feel happier. How about you stand up right now and show us how you dance? Good job. Well done. Miss Beals right there. Good job. Tell me about Christina and her school spec journey. Christina is a bubbly character. Every morning she'll greet the teachers and she'll like to have a conversation to them. She was involved in the school spectacular dance for I think six plus years. And she's very outgoing when we do go to the rehearsals and the performances. She gets to talk to all the other teachers from the other schools and they all learn her name. And yeah, she's a real leader as well when she's out on that dance floor. She tells some students maybe if they're out of place where to stand and what action to do. So she really loves to be that leader personality. Is there anyone you want to thank for helping support you through your school spec journey? I want to thank you to Mr. Jacob and Miss Ford who did the school spectacular long time. Anyone else? And Mr. Lee and everyone else. She'll be going like this and then telling everyone else where to stand and moving them in position and she'll be doing her own dance moves at the same time. And in music, she is a character. So one second she could be anxious and nervous and just worried about everything in the world. And the next second she gets up and she performs and she's a whole different person. She'll be performing confidently, she'll be dancing, she'll be singing out loud and she'll be excited to just show everything that she's made of. What's your favorite Christina moment as Cecil? Favorite Christina moment as Cecil, it's hard to choose one, honestly, because she's literally always talking to me. She's always talking to me. She's always making conversation. She's always been a little bit of a worrywart, but she's shown that she's developed and she's improved so much over the years. And now graduating, she's a whole different person. I think she's ready for the outside world. Beautiful. Speaking of the outside world, what advice would you give her as she enters the outside world? I would say just keep being confident, keep wanting to improve and keep being your best self and just keep enjoying every day as much as you can. Beautiful. And I know you're quite the singer, Mr. Lee. Is there any song you want to sing to her before she goes? Oh, any song? I'll just sing like two lines. For sure, for sure.
