About this Short Film
As part of the Focus on Ability festival, Difference Not Disability by First Time Film Makers offers a thoughtful look at how ADHD, autism and cognitive processing disability are seen by peers and communities. Focusing on teenagers in group settings, the film asks us to question labels, perception and the limits that stigma and stereotypes place on young people. It emphasises ability, resilience and everyday strengths rather than deficit. Honest and accessible, the short sits well in our programme, prompting conversation about inclusion, viewpoint and how we can move from prejudice to understanding.
