Smile, smile, smile, my little cutie. Nathan is my forever baby. I think the moment I accepted that he's just Nathan, he's cuddly, he's a good listener because he doesn't talk back, you know, he's just perfect. He has cerebral palsy, born with it, due to birth asphyxia. So we've had a share of admissions in hospital because of pneumonia, so COVID just was worse. The moment I broke down was actually three weeks in, and we had already left the ICU, and we had a scare in the ward when he said, now coughing aggressively. I think what even made me break down further was I hadn't been sleeping because of a caregiver, you're like 24 hours on watch. If I was to ever write a book, I think I'd write one to taking care of yourself as a caregiver. I think not many people talk about it. Post-COVID is good. It's good to be home, back with family, because part of Nathan is the sister. So just even giving them a chance to continue bonding is, for me, a highlight. I think it's part of the healing process. I truly believe the vaccine works because it's the only way I can explain how I was with a COVID patient for an entire month and didn't get COVID, yet I was literally in his space. So get vaccinated, protect yourself, so that you can take care of the people you love.
