About this Short Film
We are pleased to present ADHD (Seymour College SA, Australia, 2020), which offers a thoughtful look at how attention differences are perceived among young people. The film explores themes of ADHD, mental health, prejudice, stereotypes and stigma, and reflects on the school and group contexts many teenagers navigate. Without prescribing answers, it prompts conversations about understanding and support for children and teens living with attention-related challenges. Presented in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival, ADHD contributes to a programme that celebrates the abilities, experiences and achievements of people with disability. It invites audiences to reconsider assumptions and listen more closely.
