About this Short Film
Press Record, created by Cranebrook High School, explores themes of school life, creativity and community through the perspectives of young people with diverse disabilities. The short film touches on activities such as art, café work and gardening, and shows group dynamics among teenagers with intellectual, cognitive processing, congenital and physical disabilities. Tonally it fits the Focus on Ability festival by highlighting everyday skills, friendships and the achievements of participants without making assumptions about their stories. Presented with care and respect, Press Record invites audiences to notice ability, inclusion and the small moments that matter in a school setting.
