About this Short Film
The Dream Project, from Tauhara College in New Zealand (2018), is a short film that brings together themes of dreams, music and group life in a school context. It presents young people, including teenagers who use wheelchairs and those with intellectual and physical disabilities, through a gentle and music-rich lens. Rather than telling a single story, the film offers moments that highlight creativity, collaboration and the everyday achievements of its participants. Presented in the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival, The Dream Project sits comfortably alongside works that celebrate ability, foster understanding and give space to young voices.
