About this Short Film
Warringa Connect, by Warringa Park School (Australia, 2024), is part of the Focus on Ability International Short Film Festival. This short film highlights themes around cerebral palsy, intellectual and cognitive processing disability, physical disability and inclusion. It looks at how perception, stigma and stereotypes affect young people in school settings, and touches on presenting, creating and teamwork. Thoughtful and grounded, the film invites audiences to rethink assumptions about ability and self-confidence without claiming to speak for every experience. A valuable addition to this year’s programme, it offers a clear, accessible perspective on belonging, prejudice and the power of collective support.
