My name is Prince Melinda. I am 12 years old. I'm from Hong Kong local government, Adamawa State. When the Boko Haram came to my village, it was in the morning. I was sitting in my home and they came and we heard that they are shooting and we run away and we are running and they shot my leg. But my brothers carried me. We went to the bush and we spent two weeks there. After some time we went to yoga and they took me to special needs hospital and they cut my leg. After they cut my leg, I came out from the room and I saw that my leg was not here and they have cut it. I feel so bad because my leg was not here. After we left the hospital, my parents decided us to come here and I am schooling here in Damare NYSE camp. I go to school every day and I love going to school because education is very important to me so that I will become somebody in the future. My best subject is Maths and English. I want to become a doctor so that I will save lives of people. Education can teach me how I will be a doctor. I believe that nothing can stop me from being what I want to be.
