About this Short Film

"White Snow" (2018) by Yooralla Community College Gippsland is a short film from Australia included in the Focus on Ability festival. Created with and about people with cognitive and intellectual disabilities, including those with Down syndrome, it offers a warm, respectful glimpse into group life and learning for young adults. The film highlights everyday moments in school and community settings and celebrates the skills, friendships and humour that come from shared experience. Presented as part of our program, it invites audiences to appreciate ability over limitation and to see familiar places through fresh, human eyes.
