Voting

815 viewers today and…… (at least it took longer this year) – viewing isn’t voting!

There are some films getting great viewer numbers and low votes. Then there’s also some well organised voting happening – well done!

As usual there are a couple of front runners, then a bunch in the middle followed by a trailing few – social media for your film is clearly the key to success with some terrific supporting sites already coaching voters on how to promote films.

On Monday 4th August we will announce International Entrant Major Prize winners (return trip to Sydney for awards). If you are an international entrant we have introduced some extra prizes – the judges have made a great choice and some of the other films are just terrific so we have added ‘NOVA Choice’ and ‘most online votes’ categories. The ‘NOVA choice’ winner will also join us in Sydney.

International ‘Most Online Votes’ will conclude at the close of general voting – midnight 17th August, 2014. Prizes will be in Australian dollars.

Keep some time aside on Monday (about 9 hours straight) to watch the Australian entries – there are a couple of tear jerkers, some truly terrific young folk, a mystery, a thriller and more!

Goodness me – only 6 weeks to FoA VI…..!

* Tickets are going to be at a premium – if you are a film maker make sure you have told Ryan you will be attending – you get a couple of spots, schools a couple more and extras will be made available subject to availability – Fox Studios holds 360 + wheelchairs (25). If every film maker takes up their option we are oversubscribed by 40!

A quick reminder that leaving a comment is appreciated and encourages our film makers and comments are not counted as votes - you need to do both! We already have films with some encouraging comments but (as yet) no votes.
